Kirsten Jack is an autistic founder, inclusion specialist and CEO of Uncommon,
Over more than two decades, Kirsten has worked across urban development, international development, disability inclusion and technology. She has lived and worked in more than 50 countries, delivered programmes for governments, charities and international organisations, and built diverse teams in complex settings.
​
Kirsten was identified as autistic in the late 1990s. Her experience of navigating adolescence, mental health, friendship and a heavily masked professional life gives her a long-term perspective on both autistic strengths and the costs of succeeding in systems not designed with neurodivergent people in mind.
​
After becoming a parent, she saw a growing public conversation about neurodiversity, but very little accessible, affordable support behind it. Families were still facing long waits, gatekeeping, unsuitable provision and a lack of spaces where their children could meet others who understood them.
​
Kirsten founded Uncommon to address that gap. Its model combines human-centred design, lived experience and shared interests

Ellen Jones is an award-winning author, strategist, and founder of marketing agency Pansy Studios and the LGBTQ+ Freelancer Directory. She is recognised globally for her advocacy work in advancing LGBTQ+ rights and neurodivergent inclusion, supporting businesses to fostering inclusive environments.
​
Ellen’s book Outrage: How To Fight for LGBTQ+ Lives is a best-selling title across the world and is seminal guide for allies and advocates alike.
Her work is rooted in a commitment to practical solutions, ensuring that diversity and inclusion are not just aspirations but tangible outcomes.
Ellie Finch
Clinical Supervisions​

Ellie Finch, MA MBACP (Accred), is a clinical supervisor, counsellor, and social worker who works with children, parents, and families. She is an Accredited Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a Professional Member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO), and registered with Social Work England.
​
Ellie specialises in supporting neurodivergent clients and families of children with additional needs or complex medical conditions. Her approach centres on creating respectful, empowering therapeutic environments that adapt to different ways of communicating, thinking, and connecting.
​
As a parent of two, including a child with special educational needs, physical disabilities, and a complex medical condition, she brings lived insight to her work supporting families and practitioners.
Sarah O'Donnell
Head of Operations ​

Sarah O'Donnell has a decade of of experience running large-scale operations for mental health organisations across the UK including as Senior Business Development Manager for Big White Wall and as Operations Director of healthcare provider Xyla.
​
Sarah joined Uncommon in 2026 to support on operations, growth and development.
Becky Dawson
Safeguarding Lead

Becky has worked in leadership roles within a large secondary school, including that of a Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead, which has given her valuable expertise in training education practitioners to create learning environments for young people which are inclusive for all.​

Dr Ian Jordan
Clinical Lead
​
Dr Ian Jordan is a senior clinician with over 20 years of clinical and leadership experience across the NHS and HSE, including roles as Clinical Director, Chief Medical Officer, and Director of Operations.
He spent the past 10 years as a liaison consultant psychiatrist in the NHS at Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundations Trust and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at The University of Oxford.
He has led large-scale mental health service transformations and supervised over 100 therapy sessions within a clinical research context.
