In our first session, we’ll be getting to know each other and exploring the feelings and variables that can make attending school feel like such a struggle.
Session outline
• Introduce ourselves and get to know others in the group.
• Discuss neurodivergent differences that can impact our relationship to school.
• Explore our own unique characteristics, including strengths and challenges.
Session facilitators
The sessions will be led by Sascha and one other facilitator depending on your session time.
About Sascha
Uncommon co-founder, Sascha Evans, is an multi-award winning experience-designer, and marketing expert with a background in education and creative-arts. She’s also a parent herself.
About Mekkin
Mekkin is our Lead Peer Support Guide and certified youth mental health first-aider. As an autistic and ADHD person, she had her own struggles with secondary school and university. Now she uses her strengths and experiences to help support and guide neurodivergent young people, as well as create educational content on behalf of Uncommon.
About Becky
Becky is a coach, SENCO and safeguarding specialist. She has worked in leadership roles within a large secondary school including that of a Special Educational Needs coordinator, which has given her valuable expertise on training education practitioners to create learning environments for young people which are inclusive for all.
