Welcome to the We are Social programme. We’re so excited to have you along for this journey!
By the end of the programme, you should have all the information and tools that you need to achieve your social goals - whether that’s managing social anxiety, making new friends, or maintaining your relationships.
In this first week, we’re going to to talk about what it means to be differently social as a neurodivergent person.
We’ll be posting videos covering:
Belongingness and the Impacts of Social Difference
Social Anxiety and Neurodivergence
Stereotypes and Misconceptions
As well as quizzes, blogs, graphics and more.
Make sure to introduce yourself in your group chat this week!
The group chat is a great space to ask questions, get to know each other and discover more about what it means to be differently social together.
This week in our group chat, we’ll be thinking about the goals that we want to set for ourselves when it comes to socialising.
As you explore this week’s learning materials, ask yourself:
What areas of my social life do I want to change?
What social circumstances make me happy?
How can I feel a greater sense of belongingness?
Remember, it’s totally fine if you don’t know how you’ll get to where you want to be just yet - that’s what the next four weeks are for!
Thank you for joining us and each other on this journey.
