What to expect
Join like-minded gamers for our fun and collaborative Roblox games club. Each session will be led by experienced neurodivergent gamers, who will introduce the game(s) for the session, and ensure players feel safe and supported. Sessions are run over zoom, removing the complexity and pressures that can come with interacting on a busy discord server.

Gaming is a great way to escape day to day challenges and is shown to help reduce stress. The structured, low-demand environment we create helps young people interact with peers and build new social connections. Interacting with other neurodivergent teens can also help build a sense of belonging, increasing self-esteem. Sessions are designed to be accessible to those in burnout - gamers who need a low-/no-demand space can choose to keep cameras off, play without talking or messaging with others or can just watch.

How sessions work
All our sessions are run on Zoom, with participants welcome to have cameras off or on, to watch, message or talk.
Once we've introduced the session's games, we help everyone get into our private servers. In-game session leaders guide participants or encourage free-play. They narrate the group's successes, encourage co-operation, help individuals and the groups problem-solve and are on-hand for technical support. Participants can also DM (direct message) session leaders if they need one-on-one help.
At the end of each session we collect recommendations for follow-on session and factor these into our session planning and server updates!

Setup a Roblox account (free)
Install the Roblox on your console, laptop or tablet (we don't recommend joining from a phone)
Accept a friend request from your session leader whose username will start with Uncommon_ and end with Cat e.g. Uncommon_DataCat, or Uncommon_OwlCat
