A uniquely supportive environment

Each camp runs across three days afternoons, online via Zoom. Your child can join with camera on or off, mic on or off, can speak or use messaging and can take part by watching along. We welcome and celebrate all communication styles.

Groups are small, just 6-12 young people, with amazing ratios of 3-4 kids per mentor. So we're truly able to tailor camps to every support need and passion.

Our mentors are young neurodivergent adults who share the experiences and passions of the young people they support.

They have a strong understanding of neurodivergent presentations, demand avoidance, rejection sensitivity and supporting those with anxiety. They bring thousands of hours experience running our weekly clubs, and know how to hold space for young people who’ve had difficult experiences in group settings before.

Plus they're amazing at creating inspiring, fun spaces where kids feel they belong!

What our families say

Patient and positive.
Taking part in clubs and the recent summer camp has been amazing for my son. The session leaders are incredibly positive, patient and above all inclusive. There’s never any pressure and they are so encouraging. The community is fantastic and shows such promise for growth.โ€‹
I cannot recommend Uncommon highly enough
My daughter got dressed up specially for the session (even though she wouldn't go on camera) this is the first time she's managed to participate in something with other children who are also neurodivergent. She's been feeling very isolated.

FAQs

Got more questions? Get in touch at hello@uncommonminds.co.uk and our team will get back to you.

How do I know which camp is right for my child?

Each camp is built around a specific game or activity, so the best starting point is your child's interests. If they love Minecraft, that's a great place to begin - if they're into Roblox, we have Action, Cosy and DnD options depending on their style of play. If you're not sure, just email us at hello@uncommonminds.co.uk and tell us a bit about your child - we'll recommend the best fit.

โ€‹โ€‹

How do I know which camp is right for my child?

If your child needs to leave early or to miss a day, please just drop us a note us a note so our mentors are aware.

โ€‹

What does my child need to take part?

โ€‹

For all camps, your child will need a device to run Zoom - a laptop, desktop, tablet or phone all work well. For Minecraft camp specifically, they'll need a PC or Mac running Minecraft Java Edition. For Roblox camps, they can play from PC, Mac, tablet, phone or console (if using a console, they'll need a separate device for Zoom). We recommend testing everything at least a day before camp starts - email us if you need any help getting set up.

โ€‹

How do I book?

Sessions are booked through the Momence app or using the links above. Once you've set up your account, you can browse available camps and book your child's place.

โ€‹

Can I get a refund?

โ€‹

We try to work really flexibly with our families and we know that things come up. Our camps sell out incredibly quickly and are very popular so please do give us as much notice as possible if you won't be able to attend.
