Tuesday 5pm Games Night Social

Wednesday 6pm Stardew Valley

What to expect

Gaming together, made calmer
Our gaming clubs give young people a regular, familiar space in their weekโ€”helping them feel more relaxed, social, and connected. We focus on smaller, indie, and non-video game formats rather than the big, mainstream titles, so thereโ€™s more room for creativity, conversation, and trying something new.

Tuesday 5pm โ€“ Video Gamers Club
In this club we explore interesting new indie games, talk about the latest releases, share and play games weโ€™ve created ourselves, and learn what it takes to make great games. Run by games designers and streamers Ollie and Mivi, itโ€™s perfect for gamers curious to explore beyond Roblox, as well as budding games designers, artists, world-builders, community managers, and streamers.

Wednesday 5pm โ€“ Games Night Social
A relaxed midweek hangout where we play party games like Jackbox, Gartic Phone, Skribbl, and more. Bring your quick thinking, creativity, and sense of humourโ€”this is a low-pressure space to have fun, make friends, and try something new every week.

Wednesday 6pm โ€“ Stardew Valley Club
Step into Pelican Town and join fellow Uncommoners in Stardew Valley. Together weโ€™ll farm, fish, mine, and exploreโ€”all while building a cosy community and enjoying the game at our own pace. Perfect for fans of wholesome, collaborative gameplay.

๐ŸŽฎ Meet like-minded gamers, discover new games and share your game creations
๐Ÿ’ก Join club challenges and share game art, ideas or finds
๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™‚๏ธ Enjoy a low-demand club space, perfect for burnout, anxious or PDA creatives
๐ŸŒŸ Feel inspired and supported by neurodivergent club leaders and creatives

How meet-ups work

We host 8-12 club members in each session. All sessions are run on Zoom, with participants welcome to have cameras off or on, to watch, message or talk. We often use anonymous chat and quiz tool Slido so everyone takes part in the same communication style, and to reduce demands for anxious or PDA members.

To start each session weโ€™ll play a small quiz or game in Slido. Weโ€™ll then chat about games weโ€™ve been playing or designing, with session leaders sharing great games theyโ€™ve been playing. Before using creative prompts and games to explore an aspect of gaming thatโ€™s inspiring us at the moment! Or in Stardew Valley we'll explore and build together.

At the end of each session we often talk about what we might like to do next week!

What you'll need

  • A tablet, laptop or phone with Zoom installed

  • A cosy spot and your favourite fidgets or snacks so you can enjoy session.

  • Your favourite console or games if youโ€™d like to play whilst we chat!

  • For stardew valley - purchase and install Stardew Valley on your chosen device

  • If you subscribe to club and want to join the online community, youโ€™ll access this through a laptop/desktop browser or by downloading the Circle app on tablet or phone

"I didnโ€™t really know what to expect but it was lovely hearing J laughing and talking to others"

๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ

"The environment Uncommon creates seems to make all the kids feel like a bonded group really quickly and they are keen to help and support one another as a result. It is so wonderful to see, especially as many of our kids probably struggle with similar peer interactions day to day. Thanks Uncommon Team!"

"My son really enjoyed the session. I wasnโ€™t allowed to listen in (that would be uncool apparently) but he liked the selection of games, the โ€˜teacherโ€™ was nice and helpful, and he wants to join again the next week."
