Online Roblox clubs where neurodivergent young people can play, connect and make friends.

Play Roblox in a safe, supported environment

Our Roblox clubs are all about playing together and connection. Each week they'll play two games together on Uncommon's private Roblox servers, chatting in Roblox chat or on Zoom. Sessions are run by neurodivergent facilitators who genuinely love gaming. Everything happens in a calm, low-demand space, at their own pace and supported by 100% neurodivergent mentors who get it.

What parents say

" The clubs have been such a great thing for my ND child. The fact that all the facilitators are ND and great role models helps too. Just a brilliant, inclusive space. So glad we gave it a try. "

" My daughter said that everyone was nice and understanding and had similar difficulties and challenges. It meant she could relate to. She especially liked that it was run by neurodivergent adults. "

" It's so hard to find a small group of people who 'get it'. The warmth and care in the session was wonderful. "

Combine clubs with 1-to-1 mentoring

Many of our young people combine small-group clubs with 1-to-1 mentoring. Some game with their mentors or do creative projects, others explore friendships, neurodivergent experiences and growing up. Our mentors are games designers, server hosts, esports competitors and desginers, so there's a mentor for everyone! We match kids with mentors that share their interests, traits and lived experiences.

WHAT TO EXPECT

How Roblox clubs work

Our Roblox clubs are built around playing together on our own private servers. Each week the group plays two games, a mix of club favourites and exciting new games suggested by the group, so no two weeks are quite the same.

Everyone joins however suits them. Cameras can be on or off, and young people can talk on mic, type in Zoom or Roblox chat, play alongside others or just watch. Moving, stimming, fidgeting and ticcing are all welcome, and anyone can switch how they take part at any point.

1

Arrive

We meet on Zoom and start by checking in on how everyone’s feeling and their energy levels. Young people can answer on mic, in the chat or with a quick poll.

2

Warm up

Facilitators introduce the session's two games, then help everyone get into our private servers. Nobody needs to know the games already.

3

Dive In

This is the heart of the session. In-game leaders guide the group or encourage free play, celebrate the group's successes, encourage co-operation and help with problem-solving along the way.

4

Game Two

Halfway through, the group moves on to the second game. Players who need a breather can sit one out, watch or chat instead, and watching counts too.

5

Wrap up

Finish by sharing highlights and collecting game recommendations for next time. Members' suggestions shape our session planning and server updates.

Activities everyone can get involved with

How we keep young people safe in Roblox

Private Servers

We play on Uncommon's own private Roblox servers, so young people only play with their club group.

Safe games

Roblox has thousands of games, some not appropriate for children. We personally vet every game played to ensure it's right for our young people.

Help when needed

In-game leaders are always on hand for technical support. Players can also direct message a leader if they'd like one-to-one help.

Talk or type

Young people can chat on Zoom, type in Roblox chat or simply play. There's no pressure to speak at all.

A community. A place to belong

Friendships at Uncommon

Friendships start in clubs

Belonging is at the heart of everything we do, and for many young people it starts in a club.

A shared game, a regular time, familiar faces week after week.

Over time, usernames become friends, and a shared hobby becomes "these are my people."

Trust grows in our Hub and servers

So friendships can continue beyond club, all members are invited to join our moderated online Community Hub. Here they can take part in club challenges, share images of their latest builds, and create friendships that last.

Monthly Minecraft club members also get access to our private server open 10am-8pm Mon-Sun, so they can keep building and adventuring between sessions.

Friendships In Real Life

When kids want to continue a friendships beyond Uncommon, we connect parents, so you can support friendship building at your pace.

Outside of Uncommon club members game together, visit each other, or meetup at events.

"Some kids in drawing club, who've been here since it began in January 2025, discovered they're all going to Comic Con this weekend!" – Len

Getting Started with Roblox Clubs

Joining something new can feel like a big step, for young people and parents alike. Here’s exactly what happens from booking to first session, so there are no surprises. We’ll support you at every stage, and you can email hello@uncommonminds.co.uk any time if something feels tricky.

1. Book your place through the Momence app. We’ll email your setup instructions and Zoom link. Momence is also where you’ll manage bookings and find your Zoom links, which are also emailed to you ahead of sessions.

2. Tell us about your child. New families complete a short intake form. Our mentors read every form before the first session, so your child is welcomed by people who already know a little about them.

3. Book in a quick ID check if you’re new to Uncommon. Every young person completes an intake process and a brief identity check, so we know exactly who is in our sessions. If appearing on camera is difficult, we’ll work with families to find an accessible alternative. This step must be completed before your child’s first session.

4. Get the tech set up. Your child will need Zoom on a laptop, tablet or phone, Roblox and account permissions set to the appropriate age settings for the club in question. You'll also share details ahead of time with our club leads to ensure your child will have access to the server.  If you’re unsure about anything, we’ll help sort it out before the first session.

5. Join the session. Our mentors will welcome your young person in and help them find their feet. If there are any challenges, our team is ready to support you and your family.

6. Join the community. Once ID checks are complete, members can join our online Community Hub, so friendships can carry on between sessions.
