Online Minecraft summer & half-term camps designed around your neurodivergent child
Does your child live and breathe Minecraft? This summer, they can spend a whole week doing exactly that - building, exploring and creating alongside other kids who get it just as much as they do.
In small, carefully managed groups, your child will collaborate with fellow Minecraft fans to dream up and build their own projects, contribute to epic group builds, and develop real creative and technical skills along the way - all inside the blocky world they already love.
Our camps are designed specifically for neurodivergent young people aged 8–14, with or without a diagnosis. Small groups mean more individual attention, less noise and overwhelm, and 100% neurodivergent mentors who genuinely understand how ND kids think, play and thrive. Whether your child is a seasoned builder or still finding their style, they'll be met exactly where they are.
It's the summer activity that feels like fun and works like magic - and at some of the best value prices around, it's one of the easiest yeses you'll make this summer. Spaces are limited and weeks fill up fast, so if it sounds like a good fit, we'd love to have them along.โ

May Half-Term Camp
Tue May 26th - Thu 28th
In Summer Holidays we run 3-day long camps, but during the May Half-Term, we're hosting three individual days of Minecraft Camp, perfect for trying out camp and seeing if it's right for your child. โโ
โ
Come for all three days or drop in for just one - it's totally up to you!
Is this right for my child?
Each camp runs across three days during the summer holidays, online via Zoom, kept deliberately small so every young person has space. Your child can join with camera on or off, mic on or off, or simply by watching.
Our mentors are neurodivergent themselves. They understand things like demand avoidance, rejection sensitivity, and social anxiety, and know how to hold space for young people who’ve had difficult experiences in group settings before
โ
Run over Zoom in a calm, structured environment, the camp is designed to be accessible for those in burnout - you choose how you engage, whether that's diving in, chatting, or quietly watching along.
Your child will:
๐งฑ Build their own creation or contribute to a shared project
โ๏ธ Learn new technical skills like redstone, command blocks, or build planning
๐ฎ Explore together, go on PvP adventures, or just hang out in our Uncommon world
๐ Connect with other Minecraft-loving neurodivergent players in a relaxed, friendly space

Camp Schedule
The schedule of each camp changes slightly, but this should give you a sense of what your child will get up to each day.
โ
As with our weekly clubs, we'll meet on Zoom before jumping into our secure server. Everyone is welcome to attend with cameras off or on, and to message or chat - whatever works for your child !
โ
We'll also have quiet breaks, and a longer movement break halfway through session to help keep everyone comfortable.
โ
Day 1
Choose your project, make a build plan, and start creating! We’ll also learn a new building or redstone skill.
Day 2
Visit each other’s builds, pick up another tech skill, and keep building - or take a break to explore and play.
Day 3
Get support to polish off your builds, then show them off in a celebration tour of everyone’s creations.
We regularly check-in throughout camp to ensure that everything is going well and to put in place any additional support your child might need.

"Uncommon has been a wonderful ‘anchor’ over the summer and now again through the transition back to school. Thank you all so much"

FAQs
โ
Is Minecraft camp right for my child?
If your child loves Minecraft, they'll feel right at home. Our Minecraft camps are designed for children who enjoy building, exploring and problem-solving in-game - whether they're a seasoned player or still finding their feet. If you're not sure whether it's the right fit, just email us at hello@uncommonminds.co.uk and tell us a bit about your child and we'll help you decide.
โ
What if my child needs to miss a day or leave early?
Not a problem — just drop us a note before the session so our mentors are aware. For Minecraft camp specifically, missing a day won't affect your child's server access, and they'll be able to pick up where they left off when they're back.
โ
How do I book a Minecraft camp?
Camps are booked through the Momence app or using the links above. Once you've set up your account, you can browse available Minecraft camps and book your child's place. Spaces fill up quickly, so we'd recommend booking as early as you can - and getting Minecraft and the Microsoft account set up straight away so you're ready to go.
โ
Can I get a refund?
We try to work as flexibly as possible with our families and we know that things come up. Our Minecraft camps are very popular and sell out quickly, so please do give us as much notice as possible if you won't be able to attend. Get in touch at hello@uncommonminds.co.uk and we'll do our best to help.
What version of Minecraft does my child need?
โ
Our server runs on Java Edition, which is the PC/Mac version of the game. If your child currently plays on Bedrock Edition (console, mobile, or the Windows Store app), please get in touch before camp at hello@uncommonminds.co.uk and we'll advise on the best setup for their device.
โ
We bought Minecraft on console - can my child still join?
โ
Console versions run on Bedrock Edition, which uses a different server infrastructure to Java. Please contact us before camp and we'll advise on whether your child's setup will work and what steps may be needed.
โ
How do I set up a Microsoft account for my child?
โ
You can create one at account.microsoft.com. If your child is under 13, you'll need to set up a family account and add them as a child account - this gives you parental controls and is required for them to play on our server. Once created, link it to Minecraft by launching the game and signing in. If you need help, just email us and we'll walk you through it.
โ
My child is under 13 - are there extra account restrictions I need to know about?
โ
Yes - Microsoft child accounts have additional privacy and communication settings enabled by default, which can sometimes prevent children from joining multiplayer servers. Before camp, please check your Microsoft Family Safety settings and make sure multiplayer and server access are enabled. If you're not sure how to do this, just email us and we'll help.
โ
How do I complete ID verification, and why is it needed?
Our private Minecraft server is used by children outside of session times, where being on camera or mic isn't required. To keep that space safe, we do a quick ID check before granting access - an adult shows us their ID, and we briefly see your child on camera. It takes around 10-15 seconds. Without this, we're unable to grant server access outside of supervised sessions.
โ
How do I test the server connection before camp?
We strongly recommend testing everything at least a day before camp starts - it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to a little longer if any troubleshooting is needed. If you run into any issues, email us at hello@uncommonminds.co.uk and we'll help you get sorted in time.
โ
How long does my child have access to the server?
Once ID verification is complete, your child can access our private Minecraft server between sessions. Camp members retain access for one month after camp ends - and if your child joins a regular Minecraft club after camp, access continues for as long as their membership is active. If access ever lapses, just get in touch and we'll reinstate it.
